Construction of Porth Eirias, the Watersports Centre, on Colwyn Bay promenade, is now well underway and visible for the first time.

The owner of a Norfolk coastal sailing school has just taken over Leziate Lake, near King’s Lynn, to create a new watersports facility. Bob White, 22, bought the Wells sailing school Oceanus in 2009 and is now creating West Norfolk Watersports.

The steelwork for a new watersports building on the Colwyn Bay promenade is put in place as part of a project redeveloping the coastal defences.
